Document Group: Retune Sat Receiver

3ABN is changing it's frequency to 12546 Mhz

Just follow these simple proceedures or download the document below "Retune to 3ABN" (in document file)

• From the MAIN MENU highlight INSTALLATION and press OK. The receiver may request a password. Enter 0000 or try 9402
• Scroll down and highlight MANUAL SCAN and press OK
• Press the GREEN (AUDIO) button on the remote
• Highlight FREQUENCY and enter 12546 by using the numbers on the remote
• May sure the SYMBOL RATE is 22500 (If not change it using the numbers on the remote)
• Make sure POLARIZATION is V (if not scroll left or right using the remote and select V)
• Highlight SEARCH TYPE and scroll left or right and select FTA ONLY
• Highlight NETWORK SEARCH and scroll left or right and select OFF
• Please check the above setting before continuing
• Next press the OK button and the receiver will begin searching for the channels
• Once the scan has finished press the EXIT button until back to main screen
• Scan through the channels using the up and down channel buttons and search for 3ABN

• From the MAIN MENU scroll UP highlight MOVE CHANNELS and press the OK button.
• Next scroll through the channel list to find 3ABN NEW HOME and highlight it
• Press the OK button and scroll UP or DOWN and move it to where you would like it to appear in the list then press OK.
• Once you are finished press the EXIT button on the remote and the receiver will display a message “Settings were changed DO YOU WANT TO SAVE?”
• Highlight YES in yellow and press the OK button.
• Now press the EXIT button twice
• You can then delete the old 3ABN Channel if you wish

With the changeover from Optus B3 to Optus D2 every Satellite Receiver will have to be retuned.  The process is simple and the settings are:

Home Frequency -
Frequency: 12706.5 Mhz
Symbol Rate: 22.500 Ms/s
FEC: 3 /4
Polarisation: Vertical
NETWORK SEARCH MUST BE SET TO ENABLED / ON

We recommend that you try to retune your receiver yourself to save money as some installers will charge over $90.00 for the service.

If you have problems, more options are available:  You may send your receiver to us at 588 Freemans Drive Cooranbong 2265 and we will retune it free for you (units sold by us) or you may purchase a completely new Receiver for $126.95 and we will send it post free.  All you need to do is to just change over the leads from your old unit to the new.
